PORTRAIT PERFECT
Old Your Road Country Club honored its head professional, Paul David
McKenzie, during a ceremony May 22. McKenzie, 63, is two years away
from becoming the club’s longest-tenured golf professional. In honor
of his 33 years of service and dedication to Old York Road, club officials and membership unveiled McKenzie’s portrait during the surprise
ceremony. “It was pretty overwhelming,” McKenzie said. “I’m quite
proud of being here that long. The first thing that comes to mind is all
of the people that have helped you along the way. They [Old York Road’s
membership] are good, solid people who know how to treat others. They
love the game of golf and its traditions. It’s an honor.” McKenzie began
his professional career at Waynesborough Country Club, where he
served as an assistant under his brother, Ted. He and his wife Pam
reside in Spring House, Pa.
